Managing Your Career - A Guide to Contemporary Job Search Strategies is a manual that covers the most important aspects of career management.  The manual is broken up into five modules that discuss tips and strategies for managing your career.

Module One: Evaluating the Career Move.   Deciding to make a career move can be very difficult.  This module covers the very important fact that career development is your responsibility. Why make a career move?  What are the factors you should consider before making a career move?  How to assess your attitude about career development?  How to prepare for a career move?

Module Two: Cover Letters and Resumes. Your resume and cover letter are marketing tools.  This module covers the purpose of resumes and cover letters.  It also covers the do's and don't of resume preparation.  The module further covers the different resume formats (chronological, skill based/functional), provides examples of each and tips on how to write a better resume.

Module Three: The Interview.  You have to convince interviewers that you are the right person for the job.   This module covers the importance of preparing and performing at an interview.  What to do when you get notified for an interview?  How do you prepare for an interview? How you should dress? How do you handle one-on-one, panel and telephone interviews?  How do you handle difficult or illegal questions during an interview?

Module Four: The Interview Follow-Up.  After an interview, lots of candidates do not follow up after the interview.  This module recommends tips and strategies on how to follow up after an interview to either recover or seal the deal.

Module Five: Social Media Etiquette.  Recruiters use social media to find out what kind of person you are.  This module gives some practical advice on how to control your social media profile so it will not have a negative impact on your job or career search.
